What is Holistic Counselling?

Holistic Counselling is a form of counselling that focuses on a person in their entirety, it uses a humanistic or interpersonal approach in enhancing personal growth, healing and self-discovery of a person. Holistic Counselling can benefit anyone who wants to live their potential, stand in their own power, embrace life and have harmonious relationships. To heal consciously and to discover the keys to a fulfilling life and move forward in being a guiding light for others. Holistic means whole, which means that the therapy focuses on the whole person rather than simply addressing their symptoms.

Donna’s sessions aim to dive right into the heart of issues that are experienced by woman from all walks of life; from gracefully letting go to creating happiness; from preventing stress and anxiety to finding peace; from heartbreak to joyous relationships; and self-discovery to understanding humanity. Working with the philosophy of balance, these sessions combines both traditional and holistic counselling skills along with metaphysical philosophy practices; bringing together the best of alternative and mainstream wellbeing for the mind, heart and soul. Holistic Counselling does not compartmentalise any areas of the client’s life.

What to expect from a session?

Sessions are usually scheduled for the hour, taking place on a zoom call/telephone otherwise sessions are also available in person. In the first consultation, Donna will cover such things as confidentiality, history, client’s expectations and session timings. Donna will also be asking questions that will assist the client to further understand her surface problem areas, where in later sessions she will then be exploring any deeper issues and concerns.

During the session Donna will support the client in talking about here issues to develop a more refined and deeper inner awareness. During this process, the clients understanding of their emotions, beliefs, thoughts, physical sensations and behaviour patterns will begin to unfold. Client can expect to experience a sense of wellbeing, release and empowerment after sessions.
